ROSENEATH

Roseneath is a house designed during the office’s early years and is a project that is quite literally home in many ways. It was designed for my wife Dolly’s parents, and we lived there with the kids for many years. There are two distinct parts of the garden: a more colourful part filled with flowers of all kinds, under the care of Dolly’s mum, and a more productive part with coconut trees and mango trees, under the care of Dolly’s dad. They both spent hours on a regular basis to make it what you see today. It has been a pleasure to see the built and unbuilt spaces evolve with time and in many ways this project embodies the office’s vision of what a home should be.
