TAMIL NADU HOUSING BOARD

 This project involved conceptualizing a high density (3.5 F.S.I) residential complex with efficient utilization of space in Nerkundram, Chennai. The design strategies included segregation of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, orientation of openings so as to allow cross ventilation but cut off direct sunlight inside to reduce heat stress by taking advantage of the cool sea breeze, and maximising open space on the ground by building up to the maximum allowable limits.
